  1.  
  2.      1. To run VERSAMAP, place the disk containing VMAP.EXE and VMAP.MAP
  3.         in your disk drive; change to that drive; type VMAP at the DOS
  4.         prompt; then press Enter.
  5.  
  6.         To plot the default map, the file VMAP.MAP must be in the same
  7.         directory as the map program, VMAP.EXE.
  8.  
  9.         To annotate the map with text, the font files (file extension
  10.         .FON) must be in the same directory as the mapping program,
  11.         VMAP.EXE.
  12.  
  13.      2. Pull down menus are accessed with the Alt key.  Press Alt and then
  14.         the highlighted letter to access a menu.  Use the up and down
  15.         cursor keys; then press Enter to select a menu item.
  16.  
  17.      3. To exit VERSAMAP press Esc, then Alt, then the letter P, then the
  18.         letter X.
  19.  
  20.      4. To print the manual, set the printer to the extreme top of a new
  21.         page of paper (at the perforation for tractor feed paper); turn on
  22.         the printer; type the following command at the DOS prompt,
  23.  
  24.                              TYPE VMAP.DOC > PRN
  25.  
  26.         and press Enter.  The manual is 43 pages long.
  27.  
  28.      5. If you are printing the manual from a word processor, set it for
  29.         top margin 0, left margin 0, 66 lines of text, and a page length
  30.         of 66 lines.
  31.  
  32.      6. You must install the Hercules driver, MSHERC.COM, to use Hercules
  33.         mono graphics with VERSAMAP.  To install the driver, place the
  34.         disk containing MSHERC.COM in your drive, type the following
  35.         command at the DOS prompt,

  37.                             MSHERC /H
  38.  
  39.         and press Enter.
  40.  
  41.
